Team Parent Duties-
The team parent (mom or dad) attends information meetings, distributes league information to players/parents, collects and turns in items/money required for fundraisers, etc. by the due date. Coordinates snack schedule. Assists coach/manager with volunteer coordination.
Team Parent Advice-
Some good advice for Team Parents is to be organized from the very beginning. Try to get all your money info together and have your parents only pay once. Include money for the coaches gift, embroidery, sweatshirts or jackets, sponsorship and anything else you can come up with. Having to write one check is a lot easier that writing several. As a team parent, you are responsible to create a team roster and snack schedule and distribute it among your team. Create or purchase a team banner. This is not just your responsibility. Enlist the parents on your team to assist you. You are the liaison between coach and player’s parents. You’ll communicate to the players and parents any details of events during the season, such as, fundraisers, picture day, etc.
